The Inspectorate of the Power Department, Manipur, exists to provide independent, technical oversight of the State’s electrical distribution network. Our role is to verify that infrastructure and field practices comply with safety and technical standards, to reduce risks to the public, and to support timely remediation when hazards are found.

We inspect distribution transformers, poles, overhead and underground cabling, meters and consumer-side wiring. Inspections are performed both on a scheduled basis and in response to complaints or identified risks. Each inspection is documented, graded for urgency, and tracked until corrective action is completed.
